Hacker et activiste américain, Aaron Swartz décède en 2013 à l'âge de 26 ans.
Tout ce qu’il a partagé et crée sur les réseaux sous le pseudonyme «Aaronsw» forme une trace persistante de son existence sur la toile.
Aujourd'hui plus que jamais, par le déplacement progressif de nos lieux d'interaction vers le cyberespace, nos données en ligne semblent nous échapper et créent ce qu'on pourrait nommer un "Ghost d'une existence numérique".
Mon travail consiste à rassembler et traiter cette matière numérique qu'est la donnée en réincarnant ce "Ghost" Aaronsw, dans une intelligence artificielle qui génère des pensées en direct et en continu.
Les éditions qui l'accompagnent recueillent les réactions de l'IA face à des faits d'actualité récents, qu'aurait sûrement évoquer Aaron Swartz s'il avait été vivant aujourd'hui.
Depuis Donald Trump et le scandale Cambridge Analytica, servie par l'IA, la manipulation en ligne a pris une ampleur inégalée.
Avec Aaron Swartz, personnage éminemment politique, l'installation tend à soulever les questions d'éthique et de morale d'une telle réappropriation politique à l'heure du post-internet.

Aaron Swartz was an american hacktivist. He died at 26 in 2013.
Everything he shared online as "Aaronsw" left behind him a lingering mark of his existence on internet.
Nowadays, our online datas are slipping away from us and create something that we can call a "Ghost of a digital existence".
In order to highlight this "second ourself" I collected and processed this digital material to reincarnate Aaronsw's Ghost in an artificial intelligence able to generates live thoughts continuously.
The publications contain Aaronsw thoughts in reaction to recents current events which Aaron Swartz would have noticed if he would have been still alive.
Since Donald Trump and the Cambridge Analytica scandal, served by AI, online manipulation has taken on an unprecedented scale.
With Aaron Swartz, an eminently political figure, the installation tends to raise the ethical and moral questions of such political reappropriation in the post-internet age.
